This class will answer all these questions – and more! You'll be taken through an exercise available on the internet to get you comfortable with using that mouse. Learn the basics of how your computer stores files and how you can keep the documents you create in order and easy to locate. Get introduced to word processing software with a program that came with your operating system – WordPad! Learn some basic computer terms. Set up a web-based email account with Gmail. Learn how to use the Google search engine to find what you want on the web. Learn a number of things you can use the web for like: reserving a book at the library (you'll access the Hernando County library catalog online); watch a recent tv show from the network website; access local or out-of-town news websites; check local and out-of-town newspapers online, and more.
